The GEC can be thought of as a compliment to, (or even an alternative to), the official Runescape Grand Exchange Database. It is a resource to make informed investment decisions in the world of RuneScape. This information is updated regularly throughout the day. The GEC update for today is in progress and is 31.9% complete. This data is provided for informational purposes only. This database contains 2960 tradeable items. The GEC and MGE are in an early alpha testing phase.

GECentral News[Feb 1, 2010] Volume Limits: After months of discussions about this in the forums, the Mock Grand Exchange has finally implemented volume limits for all MGE members. What does this mean? Well, it means that you can not purchase in excess of the item's purchase volume limit during any four hour period of time. These limits are posted on the item details pages in the current market situation box. If a limit isn't listed, the item has a default limit of 100. Volume limits do not effect sale transactions. You may sell as many of an item as you wish.
This update has been done to help better stabilize the MGE. Also, since the MGE is an education tool, our aim is to mimic aspects of Official GE trading in RuneScape, and volume limits are a fact of life in RuneScape...
[Feb 6, 2010] Popular Items This Week: A new box has been added to the GEC main page. It lists the four most popular items visited on the GEC over the past week. It should give you an idea of what items GEC visitors are most interested in. New lists will be coming soon that will list off the top most visited items over the past 48hrs, 7 days, and all time.
[Jan 20, 2010] Redesigned Search Results Page: The redesigned search results page should be online this week. It will include more information on found items (ie, market price) and some filtering (ie, by p2p). Also I'll try to make it so it can search multiple items at once (thanks To an MGE member for the idea).
Anyway, I'll try to get it online by the weekend.
BTW: In other news, I still have to plug in the alchemy tables in the item details pages and the item comparison boxes. I'll also try to get those online by the weekend too.
