Quote:Dungeoneering Skill!

"As my foot touched the first icy cobblestone, a sense of dread flowed through my already shivering limbs. I could feel a presence, powerful and malevolent, hidden in the darkness before me. Cautiously, I rounded the corner, and was hit by a blast of hot, sulphur-smelling air. There was a sound of cracking bone and gristle that turned my stomach. Then my eyes adjusted and I saw it: a hulking demon, sitting before a blood-spattered stone door and feasting on the bodies of my fallen brothers. It was in that moment, as I raised my axe and prepared to charge for vengeance or death, that I gave the place the name it now bears...the Dungeons of Daemonheim."

It’s out! The new skill is here and it’s available on free-to-play! You’ll receive all the equipment you need to train the skill when you arrive, so catch a boat to Daemonheim from behind the Al Kharid bank to start your new adventures!

Within each dungeon, the adventuring party is asked to solve puzzles and fight monsters, while using their skills to overcome the fiendish challenges that stand in their way. Use your skills to equip your party members, search for loot and keys and explore the floor until you find the epic boss monster at the end.

The environment contains hundreds of new objects, NPCs, rooms and locations covering an area more than 60 times the size of Falador – more than any single update ever has!

After adventuring (with a group of up to 4 other players), you’ll be able to access a wealth of new skill upgrades and reward items, including new weapons and armour for both the free and members’ game.

In other news...

The 2010 Easter event has been removed with this update.

We've added a button left of the minimap which you can toggle to show the total XP you have gained during your login session. After your feedback of this feature from the Bonus XP Weekend, this XP counter is here to stay!

Sorry I am a little late on posting this, had classes all morning! But this update seems to be a fun one for a group of friends! Although the skill goes to 120 not the typical 99, it seems as though Runescape is trying to get away from the 99 limit with the release of this skill and change of hit points to life points (Constitution). Be sure to read through the information about this skill before going to far in, there is a lot of knowledge required to do this skill well.

Also, I love the XP button! Anyone else?
This is going to be EPIC.
...
race you all to level 120
lol, jk jk

I hope they don't change the other skills to level 120.
That'll take over 100m xp
XD
Hmm, sounds like a fun update. Glad that it is free to play too!
Its a pretty fun skill with friends. It can be challenging and can be easy, great for anyone!
To me, it seems fun, but not large enough for a skill. Hopefully there is more to come.
Similarly to most other skills, i am sure that this skill will provide more future updates that will somewhat make this a "deemable skill" perhaps we just need to give it more time to develop and make more of an impression. =p lol i was to quick to decide that this wasnt a skill but i did like the fact that it combined a wide variety of skills to be tampered with.
Yeah, hopefully it is expanded, soon.
I would have imagined they would have already updated more seeing as the highest lvl player in dungeoneering is lvl 90 now!
Yeh but most people have barely gone past lvl 30, and very few people have managed to get any of the rewards. In the Q & A Jagex said the second dungeoneering update will be really big so I doubt it's coming anytime soon. Personally I'm just happy that there's something new to do in f2p and I can't wait to get the coal bag (I'm getting pretty close!) and new f2p weapons Big Grin.
Personally, I am really pumped to get the bonecrusher! It will hopefully prove to be very useful to training prayer cheaply while training combat and slayer!
