I am happy to announce the completion of the myRunedex Personal Runedex for all MGE members. myRunedex is a one stop place to keep track of up to 30 items that you are interested in. This differs from the watch lists, which send e-mail alerts when prices hit certain marks, or your bank account which is comprised of items you have invested in using mockGP. The myRunedex is for every item you are interested in, whether or not you want to be alerted to any price changes or want to actually invest in those items. The myRunedex Personal Runedex works just like the other Runedexes on the site.

Getting started: All you need to do is find an item you are interested in, go to it's details page, and click on the myRunedex button (little graph button next to the watch button). Directions will drop down that explain what to do next. Once you have at least one item in your myRunedex, links to your myRunedex Personal Runedex will appear in the site header menu and the left sidebar menu. To remove items from your myRunedex just return to the item's details page and select the myRunedex.

This is just the beginning of neat features for the myRunedex Personal Runedex. In the future I may bump up the number of items you can track, add an rss feed, provide comma delimited exporting of the data in the myRunedex, allowing the public to view your myRunedex (if you want), and much more.

So.... enjoy and let me know how it works.

BTW: Filter by 100, 10k, and 100k is not working yet. I'll work out the bugs in that when I get up in the morning. Sorting works fine.

I'm not really complaining here. I just worked hard and my back is killing me... and decided to... well just mention it so I atleast feel like people know I worked hard. Lol.

I spent the last seven hours on eBay listing a bunch of stuff for sale. I'm a computer consultant plus a constant upgrader, so I have a ton o crap laying around. Of course, for all that stuff I chucked the boxes and documentation years ago. So every item I had to sell I had to peer at with a quizical eye and try to figure out what the hell it was. Mainly this was a problem with the video cards. I had to even brake out the magnifying glass to see if I could find manufacture info. And even that sometimes didn't yeild results. Once I figured out what I had I was able to get specs online. But just figuring it out was driving me crazy. Most of my video cards are nVidia. Well, heck, there are a dozen manufactures out there that use nVidia chipsets! Is the damn card an XFX GeForce 6800, or a EVGA GeForce 6800 video card, or a PNY GeForce 6800 video card, or a BFG GeForce 6800 video card!? Ahhhhhh...

And don't even get me going on the hard drives. Sure they were easier to ID, but then I had to stick them in a computer and run freaking diagnostics on them. And even if one sector is bad, the whole damn thing is shot. I had to chuck two hard drivers because of that.

Oh well, there's my rant!

It has only been a little over a year since we have had this site name and already hit half a million page views. Keep in mind that these page views do NOT include any of the hits due to bots or search engines. Also, with the new redesign that Absenm is implementing, the GEC now contains less pages that get the job done. So we are really growing fast, with 20,000 page views already this month, which is great! Thank you to all of you who keep this site growing and updating with new ideas! We can't wait to see what the future holds!

Once again, I'd like to welcome our newest mod, Mod Mkwuuu!

Well, there seems to have been a minor issue (okay, major issue) with the MGE this morning. And many, many, many prices were incorrectly listed when trying to purchase those items. The bug has been cleared up... but at a price. For the first time in GEC/MGE history we needed to do a restore of a database from backup. Namely a backup from before the bug started occurring. Or to be more specific, from eleven hours ago. That means any purchases/sales made this morning are lost. Everyone is back to exactly where they were around 11pm CST last night.

I'm sorry for this bug and the resulting headaches it may have caused anyone.

As I've mentioned many times the GEC/MGE are in beta testing. Sometimes glitches are going to happen. This is the first major one we've had, and thankfully it really was pretty small and easily correctable with minimal lose of data. This mornings error was causes by a new security system that was ironically intended to make sure that the price of the MGE item was exactly the same and updated to the price of the real GE item. This was meant to make sure people couldn't take advantage of the update lag between the oGE and the GEC. Oh well, that system appears to be working properly now.

Resetting MGE Accounts is now available. A link to the reset system can be found at the bottom of member MGE Portfolio Pages.

Understanding Resetting. The Grand Exchange Central Mock GE uses a ranking system based on our members monthly percent change of their total "investable" mockGP. Some of the MGE's more wealthy members may find it considerably harder to compete in our percentage based ranking system because mathematically it becomes harder to make huge percentage strides on huge sums of mockGP, even though the member is still making huge profits in mockGP.

Resetting a member's account simply means that the member's "investable" mockGP is reduced to the MGE's original 50,000,000 mockGP. Thus the member will only have 50m mockGP to use to make mock purchases in the MGE. However, the member's total networth will continue to remain untouched. A Hall-of-Fame member with 10 billion mockGP will still be listed in the Hall-of-Fame with 10 billion mockGP. But they will be listed in our member rankings as having only 50m investable mockGP (starting out).

What Will Happen When You Reset. When you reset your account every item in your MGE bank account will be sold at current market prices. Any in-progress transactions will halt where they are and complete with sales at current market price. All but 50 million of your total networth will become locked (becoming unusable). Your performance history automatically resets to none and your monthly percent change (M%C) resets to 0%. You placement in the MGE Rankings will be adjusted within a couple of hours.

In most cases you have up to 24 hours to change your mind and reset your account back to it's previous investable amount. However, if you do change your mind, you need to remember that all your items will remain sold and your MGE bank account will be empty, except for your total networth in investiable mockGP. Also your performance history will remain erased and your M%C will remain 0%. After 24 hours you must wait a full 90 days before you can reset your account again. At the end of 90 days you can reset back again to 50m investable mockGP, or make your entire networth investable again.

What Will NOT Happen When You Reset. Your total networth will not be effected. Your placement in the Hall-of-Fame, if you are listed, will remain unchanged. You will not see a huge negative M%C member ranking. Your M%C will be set to zero and you can begin working to increase your M%C immediately. None of your GEC membership information will be changed. Changes to your GEC Forums account can be made in the GEC Forums. None of your MGE setting will be changed. Your MGE settings can be changed from your MGE homepage. This will not effect any achievements you may have already earned. Achievements for networth goals are based on networth and not investable income.

What Happens if Your Networth is Less Than 50m mockGP. Resetting isn't just potentially beneficial to richer players. Sometimes you just have a horrible run of luck and just want to start over. If your total networth, or even just your investable mockGP, happens to be less than 50 million mockGP and it has been more than 90 days since your last reset, then you can reset your account to 50 million mockGP. Since this is intended to be a fresh start, you will not be penalized in any way. Just remember you cannot reset again for 90 days, and a less than 50m reset is immediate and there will not be a 24hr time period to change your mind.

Beware the Quirk! Though your monthly performance history is cleared out with a reset, your purchase history is not cleared. Therefore, any items you purchased within four hours of the reset will still be restricted by volume limits until the four hour period expires. Generally this should not be a big issue, and therefore will be corrected at a later time.
