GECentral News[Jul 20, 2010] Progress: Believe it or not, but putting some of the new updates on the live system is going very well. Testing seems to show it fairly stable. Our new update routine looks like it has a glitch, but I think I have that ironed out. The new pages file names haven't yet changed so visitors can not see them until some corresponding pages are added and tested live and renamed. Otherwise there will be broken links all over the place. But the update is progressing well. I can safely turn back on the "old" MGE page for the next day or so, but it'll go back down again tomorrow for the final update. When it does go down tomorrow, when it does come back up the MGE Main page, Sale and Buy pages will be brand spanking new alone with a few other new pages...
[Mar 18, 2010] Minor update: Just a minor note to point out. Now item detail pages contain links that take you to that items offical GE website page. It'll open in a new tab in most proper browsers, and in a new window in IE.
[Jun 2, 2010] Coming Soon: Well, now that my personal life is a lot less chaotic from what it has been these past several weeks I've begun to work on some new features. It was kind of hard for me to figure out what to work on first. But I've got a general outline of the first couple of new things you can expect to see over the next couple of weeks.
The first new "features" are for MGE members. It's small, but very important. Soon MGE members will have a new settings page where you can easily change some customizable features of the GEC/MGE. This might seem like a dorky feature, but it's important because with all the new features I have planned, we really need a dedicated place to put those new settings...
